ORIMUS formerly known as Aneesh Chengappa, is one of India’s genre-blending producers redefining modern electronic music. Known for blending the raw expressiveness of live instruments with cutting-edge electronic elements, ORIMUS weaves house, future bass, Hindustani fusion, and Middle Eastern influences into emotionally rich, genre-defying soundscapes.
His musical journey began at just 10 years old, driven purely by curiosity and self-teaching. In 2016, his breakout track Fruit Juice was featured as the opening song on Martin Garrix Radio, later landing on global Spotify Viral Hits, and international stations like Radio 538, NRJ, and Juice FM.
His track Tubes later crossed 2.5 million streams, contributing to a growing catalog that has now surpassed 5 million global plays across Spotify, YouTube, and SoundCloud.
Between 2016 and 2019, Aneesh performed over 50 shows across India, captivating audiences with high-energy sets that blended future house, bass house, techno, and deep house—while seamlessly integrating pop and rap for an eclectic, immersive experience.
In 2021, he explored a more mellow, R&B-inspired sound under the alias Fuchatone—short for “Future Tonality”—a creative experiment that reflected a more introspective and genre-fluid approach.
In 2022, driven by a desire to push his artistic boundaries and connect with the global music community, he moved to Berlin—a city known for its vibrant electronic scene and experimental spirit. The move marked a turning point, influencing his sonic evolution and laying the groundwork for his debut album.
His work has also made its mark in pop culture. That same year, five of his tracks were featured in the Netflix series Eternally Confused and Eager for Love, and his song Fusion was selected by designer Manish Malhotra as the soundtrack to the Diffuse collection at Lakmé Fashion Week.
Now reimagined as ORIMUS, Aneesh enters a bold new chapter—marked by artistic transformation, sonic storytelling, and a deep blend of tradition and innovation. His latest debut album MERAKI reflects his journey of self-discovery, awareness and introspection.
